Q:  Are pets allowed?

A:  We are pet lovers but are not allowed to have pets at these locations. Sorry!

Q:  What is the minimum age limit?

A:  Brooks Trail Summit welcomes everyone 18 and over.

Q:  Will there be vegan food options available?

A:  Yes, there will be some vegan-friendly options included in the various meals provided. The caterer is really excited about this event and the opportunity to get creative with the meals which includes highlighting any area specialties, sourcing from local producers, and nutritional health.

Q:  Can I participate if I am pregnant?

A:  While we would love to have you join us at the Brooks Trail Summit, the decision to participate should be one between you and your doctor.  There are a variety of activities ranging in duration, challenge, and difficulty, many of which could be very appropriate should you be cleared to participate.  What a wonderful way to prepare for the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts!

Q:  Will there be cell coverage and/or wifi at the Summit locations?

A:  Cell coverage and wifi is limited so make sure to save your Eventbrite registration and download the Sched app prior to arrival so you are able to reference your schedule while at the event.  You can either download the Mobile Web App or the native app from Apple’s App Store or Google’s Play Store.

Q:  When do I need to arrive/depart?

A:  The Brooks Trail Summit is all day Saturday starting at 8AM and finishes around 10PM. To take full advantage of all activities and educational experiences at the Brooks Trail Summit, we recommend that you arrive first thing on Saturday and stay through the close of the event.

Q:  Is there a shuttle or some way to get from the airport to camp?

A:  We are providing 2 shuttles leaving from Brooks HQ at 7AM sharp (please arrive no later than 6:45AM).  The buses will return at the conclusion of the event.

SCHEDULING

Q:  When will I be able to schedule my activity choices for the Brooks Trail Summit?

A:  You will receive an email from us two weeks prior to the Brooks Trail Summit start date with information on how to log into Sched and select your activities.

Q:  How many activities are reasonable to accomplish in one day?

A:  Most attendees should be able to comfortably participate in 3-4 or more activities.  This allows sufficient time in between activities to move from one location to the next, get water or food, change clothes, etc.

Q:  Is there time for me to get from one activity to the next if I schedule back-to-back?

A:  Yes!  We have allowed sufficient time with each activity so you can participate in activities that you schedule back-to-back.

Q:  Are there limits on any of the sessions?

A:  For unique experiences each participant is initially limited to one session until all participants have had an opportunity to register and build their calendars. Once we reach that point, we will release any remaining sessions and allow for people to add more than one session to their calendar. All other activities and educational experiences are unlimited.

Q:  Why do you have a size limit for some of the sessions?

A:  We have limited the size of some of the sessions to give you a boutique experience.  The instructor/participant ratio has been carefully selected to provide you the best learning opportunity/experience possible.

Q:  Several of the sessions say they have limited capacity. If I add a session to my schedule, does this mean that I am guaranteed a place for that session?

A:  Yes, if you can add a session to your schedule, you are confirmed.  The scheduling platform will make it clear when the classes are filling (at 75% of capacity) and already full.

Q:  Can sessions be scheduled that overlap?

A:  Please make sure the sessions you select do not overlap with each other. It’s important to only register for sessions you plan to attend so that the limited class size can be made available to as many as possible!

Q:  Am I able to change a session I have signed up for?

A:  Yes!  If you would like to change a session (that is still open and has space) and/or are not able to attend one of the sessions you signed up for, please cancel on the Sched app or come to the Brooks Trail Summit headquarters tent (when you are at the Brooks Trail Summit) and we will update for you.

Q:  Do I need to hit a “save” button after I have selected the sessions I want to participate in?

A:  No.  The sessions are automatically saved to your calendar on Sched after you select each one.

Q:  What options do I have with the schedule of sessions I have created?

  1. When you are in your schedule on Sched, you can print it, email it to yourself or a friend, or download it.  As we get closer to the event, you’ll be able to access it in an app on your phone.

Q:  I’m a novice at many of these activities but would like to try many. Would that be a problem?

A:  We love novices!  That’s a big part of why the Brooks Trail Summit was created; it’s meant to provide everyone with the opportunity to try new things and open the outdoors to them in new ways.
